This My Neighbor Totoro butter case teams a glossy enamel body with a natural wood lid, sized at about 5.9 in W x 3.9 in D x 2.6 in H and holding 16.9 fl oz of butter. Totoro and his wild strawberries keep the sides company, which makes the case a cheerful fixture on the breakfast table.
Enamel does the quiet work here: it takes on very little odor and stands up to acids and alkalis, so it won't hold onto the scent of whatever you store inside. Keep it out of the microwave, oven, and dishwasher, and set it flat rather than on its side, since the lid is not airtight.
